Why is load management so important?

When we load our bones and muscles without the correct method: we develop pain with sports.

A quick example of this is:

John enjoys marathons, he always has. He is keen and loves being outdoors. He's having an hiatus with training for 6 - 9 months, leaning on small walks at the weekends. He's been invited to a friends football meet up, only 6 to 8 players. Easy stuff. Except his first training was "okay", second one was slight painful, confused he googles his pain... "rest is best" so he rests. He returns back next week. Pain is worse. He is confused why could he run marathons but struggle with a bit of football with the lads on a wednesday... There is a term for this:

Load management.

Load management revolves around different aspects that will affect your physical and mental ability:

  • How flexible is your tendons?

  • Nutrition: how well do you eat?

  • Sleep: How well do you sleep?

  • Activity prior?

  • Were you a runner and changed to Padel Surge?

  • Was your activity before one directional?

  • Is it mutlidirectional?

Is there more plyometrics involved?

We help you with this, week in and week out, we get you back on track.
